Le Day Dream - Part 2...

A while ago; I made a "Wish List" of some photography related gear upgrades that I'd like to have. Althought I would still love to have those items... I have changed my list to be a bit more "realistic". Although still unlikely in my current life situation... It is more attainable then my original wish list.

I can't decide which of these three lenses would be my first upgrade. However, I would very much like to have any of them.

I chose to go with Tamron lenses because they are much more affordable that the Canon equivalents. Although, the Canon solution may have a better reputation as far as quality goes... The Canon's also tend to have a much higher price point.

Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD - $499.99 (as of today) from Ivan's in Moncton.

Tamron AF 90mm f/2.8 Macro - $479.99 (as of today) from Ivam's in Moncton.

Tamron SP AF 70-200mm f/2.8 - $849.99 (as of today) from Ivam's in Moncton.

However, I can not sacrifice with the camera body that I want. I can't justify anything less as a suitable upgrade to what I have now. Canon EOS 5D Mark III body only - $3299.99 (as of today) from Ivan's in Moncton.

Nathalie Testi Flamin...

I knew when I photographed Athenais Testi, that I wanted to add her mother Nathalie to my portfolio as well.

Nathalie was a pleasure to work with and I found while editing her photos that she looked great in black and white. So, I am posting a few of my favorite shots from our session this afternoon that I have converted to black and white.

Sam...

We lost our best friend yesterday...

I spent some time putting together a collage in memory of our baby girl. We will love her forever and I for one will never forget.

We got her in February of 2005 and lost her on March 1st of 2014. She was almost exactly 9 years old... Too young...

Sam was much more than a pet and companion to us. She really was our best friend. She helped me get through some of the toughest times in my life.

People...

In the past few years, I have invested in some new studio lights and a background stand. I have also picked up a few flash units and some other accessories.

I've been doing a lot more portrait photography then I used to... Individual, couples, families, groups, teams and other types of photography too...

Most of my subjects have been models from the area. Although, I will admit, a few of them are friends and family; not actual models. Some of the most beautiful people I know are the ones I grew up with. :)

I made a collage to show a few of the people that have let me shoot them...

The majority of these photos were taken between 2009 an now. But, I hope to continue shooting and hopefully improving as I learn.

Erica Chevarie...

I had an opportunity to shoot another young model who is quite new to the modeling industry. Erica is a very nice young lady and I think if she decides to follow through with modeling, in my opinion, she has the potential to go far in the industry.

Although Erica is fairly new to modeling: I would recommend her to any photographer. She is great to work with.
