Annica...

I did a shoot with the lovely Annica today.

Most of my portrait sessions are shot indoors with artificial light and strobes. However, I have been working on my outdoor and natural light portraits.

It was an awesome overcast day until shortly before my shoot. Then, of course, the wind picked up, blowing aside the clouds and revealing the harsh mid afternoon sun. Although, I did use an off camera flash to help illuminate my subject properly.

Oh well. mother nature seldom does what I want, so, I worked with the light that was available.

I was pleased with the results. Although, when I converted the images to black and white, I found them more appealing. However, I am a fan of the black and white look.

Sophie...

I had the pleasure of working with a local model named Sophie today.

She was very nice and quite easy to work with.

I chose a few of my favorite photos from the session and posted them here.

Friends from my past...

I did a photo shoot this weekend with a couple people I used to work with at Costco in Moncton....

It wasn't a very long shoot. And by the end the little guy was getting a bit tired I think. Of course I don't have kids of my own and I could have totally misread things....

But, regardless I am pretty happy with the results. :)

It was a good shoot. I am please with the results. I hope they are as well. :)

Leslie and Rebecca...

Leslie and Rebecca recently got married and allowed me to take a few photos for them.

I've known Les for years. I usaed to deliver newspapers to thier house when I was just a kid. I got to know the whole family and am proud to count them amoung my friends.

The Hub City Brewers...

For the past few years, I've been using my camera a lot more than I used to. And with my health keeping me on the disabled list... Photography no longer is only a hobby for me...

Tonight I decided to try my hand at something new. A friend of mine, whom I played hockey with in days gone by, is a member of The Hub City Brewers baseball team, I attended their game tonight, where they played host to the Charlottetown Islanders.

My gear is not pro level and is ill suited for sports photography. Plus, it was cloudy and the lighting conditions weren't great for my limited equipment... However, I am fairly happy with my results. Especially considering this was my first time shooting a ball game.

My friend Jody is number 19 (the last photo).

I left early, so I missed the final score. Although, when I left, I believe Moncton was in the lead.
