Dad and I went to see the Riverview High School Royals hockey game Monday night. The final score was Riverview High - 13 to Tantramar Regional High - 2. What a blowout. We stayed until the end of the second period and the score was 9-0 for RHS at that point.
But I took a few photos and I felt like sharing. I used my Canon 50D with a Canon EF 75-300mm lens. I used a shutter speed of 1/350th of a second and an aperture of 5.6. (the best my lens will do at 300mm). I shot in RAW. The results were a bit dark, but I boosted the exposure by 2 stops and applied a bit of noise reduction with Canon's Digital Photo Professional software... Here is what I ended up with:
Maybe someday I'll be able to get a better lens. But for now I'll make do with my old EF 75-300mm f/4.0~5.6.
